68-Year-Old Taxi Driver Arrested After Crash
A 68-year-old Sandys parish man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving yesterday [Feb 20] following a crash on Middle Road in Southampton, according to police.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:30pm Wednesday, February 20th police officers and fellow first responders attended a reported single vehicle crash on Middle Road in Southampton near Tribe Road No. 3.
“The taxi driver involved struck a wall in the vicinity of Five Star Island, damaging the vehicle and the wall.
“There were no reported injuries and the taxi driver, said to be a 68-year-old Sandys parish man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
“Any witnesses are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
